Dominican/Brazilian artist Jarina de Marco releases her new track “Tigre”. The artist is resurrecting the live music Latin America has to offer.
This hit is what everyone needs on their playlist to get the evening started.
Jarina is originally from the Dominican Republic, but had to pleasure of traveling around world with her parents growing up.
Her family was very involved with music. When Jarina began to speak, her parents put her in line to perform with the rest of the family. J
arina’s family spent time in the remote part of the Amazonian forest experimenting with different indigenous sounds and rhythms.
Jarina showcases her speaking skills as she not only performing and writing songs in English, but Spanish, Portuguese, and French. Jarina carries her culture and knowledge of music as her torch. Every song she creates is a proper display of who she is, where she’s been, and where she’s going.
Latin America isn’t shy from releasing some of the top hits in music. Artists like Sean Paul, Wyclef Jean, and Gyptian are just a few of many artist hailing from Jamaica and other parts of Central America that have reached stardom.
Having worked with Jean and Gyptian, Jarina is now joined in with the loop, and serves as an artist everyone should draw their attention to.
“Tigre” is the first hit off of the Broad City Original Series Soundtrack. The album is expected to be available on all formats from Milan Records in collaboration with Comedy Central Records on October 28.
But in the meantime, Soundcloud hosts that and other songs by Jarina.
The hit “Tigre” if you haven’t guessed already, is tiger in Spanish. Luckily, you don’t need to be well versed in Spanish to enjoy this sensation. At the drop of this song, it would be impossible not to groove.
Throughout the song, you can experience bass and Latin inspired upbeats. Each beat cranks up the intensity, thanks to production from Broad City’s executive producer Matt FX Feldman.
