Talented model and songstress Justine Skye made a name in the industry through her modeling and with her monstrous yet unique vocals.
In 2013, she worked with Eric Hudson and August Rigo on the EP “Everyday Living.”
The EP gave her a buzz and led to the release of “Emotionally Unavailable” LP.
The purple haired Brooklyn goddess eventually grew beyond the ranks at Atlantic and subsequently inked a deal with Republic and Roc Nation in 2016.
Justine Skye brings a fresh aura to the game, with her pizzazz, grace and humble demeanor. This attracted the likes of Nigerian superstar Wiz-Kid.
Just in time for Christmas, the 21-year-old singer debuted “8 Ounces” today. She discussed with Genius that the EP’s title stemmed from “the average weight of the female heart being 8 ounces.”
Justine’s new EP is a diary of her coming of age and figuring herself out as a young woman.
She worked close with Terius Nash (The-Dream) and Tricky Stewart on the project.
The 9 track EP contains a single Wale feature and was written entirely by The-Dream, a true Roc Nation collaboration. His background vocals can be heard a lot on the project.
