Canadian pop singer Maggie Szabo releases her new track titled Gold. Szabo, who has been singing since 2008, has amassed a mass following.
With over 13 million views on her youtube account, she proves herself of worthy acclaim when she drops a song.
Hailing from Dundas, Ontario, a small town in Canada, Szabo has been singing since High School. She soon moved to Nashville, in order to get a better chance at a career in music.
The move was a right one, as she would soon ink a deal with Linus Entertainment in her native Ontario. Following her signing, she released her debut album, Now hear me out in November 2012.
Now hear me out, which featured production from Canadian Producers Justin Gray and Gavin Bradley, and songs such as the debut single Lovesick, written by Maggie herself, was a success.
Lovesick got major airplay and rotation on Canadian pop stations, and was Maggie was named emerging artist from Perez Hilton.
After this, Szabo moved to Los Angeles, where she is currently based. Since moving to LA, Maggie has sold out shows at venues such as the Viper Room, House of Blues, and The Hotel Cafe.
In 2014, Maggie scored another hit with the song Tidal Waves and Hurricanes. The single was a critical success and was premiered exclusively by Ryan Secrest.
Tidal Waves and Hurricanes also garnered her the 2014 Toronto Independent Music Award in the best pop song category. This is the highest achievement for a music artist in Canada.
Her latest song, Forgive and Forget premiered in January of this year on Yahoo Music. She is also a featured vocalist for famed German electronic DJ Schiller, who has sold over 7 million albums.
With so much success under her belt, Maggie Szabo is just getting warmed up. Its only up from here, and she has proven herself worthy of the title of Pop’s first lady.
