AUG 17TH // STREET PORTRAIT WORKSHOP WITH MATT GRANGER
Come meet photography expert Matt Granger and learn how to photograph a professional model in Manhattan during this evening photowalk!
We’ll start with a brief introduction at the Hasselblad Experience Studio in NoHo and then head out for 1.5 hours of learning, walking, and photographing! A professional model will be available and under Matt’s guidance, you’ll walk away with great new knowledge to elevate your skills.
Hasselblad staff will be available with X1D and H6D camera systems to try out*, and answer any of your questions. Attendees are also encouraged to bring their own cameras.
Afterwards, we will return back to the Experience Studio for refreshments and a casual Q&A with Matt.
This event is ideal for those wanting to learn more about medium format, and work alongside an expert!
Attendees will also have the chance to win a weekend X1D Rental!

SEPT 8-9TH // STREET PORTRAIT TWO DAY WORKSHOP WITH ALI RAJABI
Join us for a unique opportunity to photograph side by side Hasselblad Master, Ali Rajabi and use the Hasselblad X1D. This exclusive 2-day workshop will offer you an all-encompassing educational experience covering planning, photography, post-production, and image selection.
With a small group format, students will have their own X1D-50c to work with and direct interaction with a world-renowned photographic artist. Students will be able to take the X1D with them, allowing for time to shoot with the camera independently.
This event is an excellent opportunity for those wanting to learn more about medium format street photography, develop new techniques and meet others passionate about photography.
Day 1 (3:00-8:30 PM)
3-3:45 – Check-in at the Hasselblad Experience Studio
3:45-4 – Meet and greet: get to know Ali and your fellow other students
4-4:30 – Camera overview and intro lecture from Ali on creative and conceptual techniques
4:30 – 7:30 – 3 hours of walking and shooting through Lower Manhattan
7:30 – 8:30 – Meet back at the studio for brief post-processing techniques
Homework – Select 1-2 favorite images to bring the following day and share with the group.
Day 2 (12:00PM – 2:30PM)
Students are encouraged to use the morning light and photograph with the X1D independently and make use of the insight from Day 1.
11:00-12PM: Check In and Camera Return, the studio will also be open if you want to edit your images from the morning
12-2:30 – Hasselblad Experience Studio, students will learn post processing techniques from Ali that include Phocus, Lightroom and Photoshop; Class/group critique and open commentary

Experience Key West through the unique lens of our Hasselblad x Jorge de la Torriente photography package at The Gates Hotel Key West.
This one night stay in tropical Key West features an intensive photo session with Hasselblad Master, Jorge de la Torriente in partnership with Hasselblad. Guests will have the opportunity to observe and shoot alongside Jorge as well as access to Hasselblad equipment.

- October 13th: Afternoon Meet + Greet at The Gates Hotel Key West, depart for shoot location, shoot, return to the hotel and enjoy a team happy hour at Rum Row
- October 14th: AM Photo Review + analysis with Jorge

HAVANA TO TRINIDAD

Cuba is the place for color and detail. That’s why Camera Odysseys and Hasselblad have teamed up to bring you a hands-on medium format photography experience in Havana and Trinidad, Nov. 30th to Dec. 7th.
Come and learn how to document the amazing colors and details of Cuba with Hasselblad’s mirrorless medium format cameras and lenses of the X System. You’ll be learning from top-notch instructors and have hands-on time with the X1D-50c, photography’s most compact mirrorless digital medium format camera system – making this an opportunity to expand your image-making skills and portfolio as you travel through the cultures and landscapes of Cuba.
The streets will be alive with color, music and dance while you photograph under the experienced guidance of professional photographer Bruce Byers. Also joining this adventure is award-winning art and creative director Glenn Batkin, who will be on hand to discuss and advise on the design and layout of imagery.
This is a once in a lifetime experience to learn, grow and use the Hasselblad X1D in a unique location that you do not want to miss.
