TORONTO SONGSTRESS EBHONI’S REVEALS “LET IT OUT”

Author:

The young Toronto-based songstress Ebhoni Cato-O’Garro or ‘Ebhoni’, is making waves at only 16 and released another track on SoundCloud recently “Let it Out” ft. Indica.

The young artist has been making music for about six years now, she started as a recording artist and by 11 she was already writing her own music. As she grew in her musical skills, Ebhoni began to foster a fan base both on YouTube and SoundCloud.

First Glance

At first glance, I was taken back by the blend of like an electronic beat and soft vocals. She has, in a way created her own lane and believe me when I tell you it’s working for her.

The Breakdown

When the song begins to play you are met with this shadowy electronic type of sound that rings out through the entire song.

The track begins to transition so smoothly into her soft vocals. Whoever

Whoever Uncle Flex is, he produced this track soooo well.

Anyway, before you are caught up in the words of the song, you are totally captured by her vocals. They are the perfect blend of soft (without being too sultry) and edgy which I think is perfect for an artist as young as her.

After you come out of the trance you’ve been placed in by her serenading, you are instantly reminding that this girl isn’t just a vocalist, and she can write too!

Say what?

“I’ve been through it all, I don’t want more I don’t want more,” this line, the chorus is saying so much and so little at the same time. When you think about the premise of the song “Let it out” that rings out through a track. This also right before a slight roar (that is totally reminiscent of Nicki Minaj) that just perfectly captures this idea of her release. You think about what

This also right before a slight roar (that is totally reminiscent of Nicki Minaj) that just perfectly captures this idea of her release. You think about what Ehboni could be trying to say. She uses this line to slightly encourage her listeners, and maybe even herself, that sometimes you just have to stop and breathe and remember that you need to release all the emotions and cares of this world from time to time.

All in the details

By the middle of the song, you are met with a full percussion background still being topped by that electronic feel that was rolled out initially. At this point, her feature Indica, begins to go in on the track, keeping this electro vibe throughout.

Game Changer

I don’t know what kind of genre she has kind of curated with this track, but it is definitely working for the young artist. From the looks of it, at least 88k people think it is great too.

Get Connected

Ebhoni is for sure an artist to watch, she’s not done! To stay up to date on the artist and all of her productions follow her on Instagram and Twitter, you won’t regret it.
