In a territory surrounded by poison and torture, Houston rapper and visionary artist Rocky Banks gives us a dazey visual of a past life with the official video to “A Lot” from his latest project In Other News, I Don’t Do Drugs Anymore. Directed by Here Forever Media Group, Rocky Banks’ trials of leaving a life of drug addiction behind illustrates itself through a world wind of unconscious thoughts.
Following up after making his appearance at the infamous SXSW Festival 2016, Rocky’s visual release continues to create a buzz for the upcoming indie artist throughout the south. Banks’ depiction of living a life controlled by drugs is shared through images of aggressively seductive women forcing pills into his mouth, leading him to a lost sense of reality.
Recently featured on The FADER, Rocky Banks explains that the video was a visual concept of what he faced in life due to his drug addiction.
“I wanted to present a twisted depiction of what I saw in my mind when these situations would take place and I was under the influence of the drug at hand.”
Now free from the pressures of being under the influence, Rocky Banks is focusing on his music now more than ever.
