Soul given artist Bryssa is new on the scene. She’s petite, gorgeous, and has a voice that is ready to take control. Bryssa sits in the R&B and Soul genre, and she has a voice that sets her aside. Something that is hard to do as a new and upcoming artist. The St.Louis native recently dropped her new single “Cloud IX”.
Cloud IX is a song about how a special-someone is making her feel above the world; as everyone should. The love song paints a visual of two people in love with one another the way that they are. STL producer Najii Person co-wrote the song, along with producing the single as well. Person’s eccentric style played a big role in the single and allowed it to come in unison with Bryssa. The making of “Cloud IX” is a moment she won’t forget. As an emerging artist, Bryssa feels that she has found her voice in the song alone. This song will definitely have you “living in the moment, trying to find a moment on Cloud IX”, as Bryssa says.
With inspirations from Toni Braxton, Anita Baker, and Luther Vandross, Bryssa incorporates plenty of soul into her voice. The college graduate is now pursuing a career as a recording artist. Growing up, Bryssa secretly kept her dreams of singing. Over the years, she conquered her fears of performing behind the mic, and evolved to something new. We are so glad she did so. “Use your talent or it will be taken from you”, her mother says. These words have followed Bryssa since her childhood and is motivation to her works today.
