Verse Simmonds releases a new LP To All the Girls, which is great to listen to you when you are in your feelings.
The R&B artist puts his soul into the new release.
I highly recommend to start your “musical journey,” by listening to the track Best for You.
Have you ever been in one of those relationships, where you think that the person you are dating is too good for you?
We know that people are rarely in a situation like that. However, music is great to use as a tool to express yourself, even if you can’t express your feelings in your own words.
The track Best for You highlights how two feelings can tear someone apart.
Simmonds expresses he is madly in love, but he has to endure the pain to let you go so you can have someone better for you.
Approaching the end of the album, the listener starts to getting this vintage and modern mix vibe.
Ending with “In My Feelings,” (the best track in my opinion) you hear the static that the old records used to make when you play the vinyl to listen to music.
The static mixed with the Caribbean drums being played in the background gives the modern feeling with a 90’s mix.
Being an Atlanta resident where Hip Hop and R&B really strive, those small defining moments are important; they show you his roots as an artist.
Overall the LP was great. When I started listening to the LP, it was like I was on an emotional rollercoaster.
I felt upbeat at times, I got low at other times. If I could categorize this album in one word, I would use the word reflection.
From the beginning to the end, it made me reflect on my past relationships. There was a lot of passion and feelings being expressed.
